Listening to the radio, it was a Beijing opera theme hotel. I chose this hotel specially. As a result, I didn't enjoy my stay. The imperial capital has long been known for its poor service, and the result is really bad! It was normal to stay in the room on the first day. When we went out the next day, the bathroom was like a water curtain hole. It rained heavily indoors - the ceiling was leaking, and we kept leaking after we came back. I called the front desk to explain the situation. I waited for ten minutes before an aunt in charge of room hygiene came to see me. Aunt's attitude is very good. This is commendable. I told her I had to return the room. She called me. The front desk was not willing. When I went down to the front desk to go through the formalities, the receptionist at the front desk seemed to have no idea. He slowly told me to see if there was a room available first. Obviously, there are many rooms, because they change to the next room. I told her I wanted to find someone from the engineering department to have a look, and she, uh huh. There were no greetings, no apologies and no analysis in the whole process. No one apologized and explained to me when I checked out. This attitude is the first time I met in this hotel in DIDU! The hotel itself is relatively old. It is estimated that the wallpaper of the room has been pasted again in recent years, but the carpet on the ground is relatively black. The ventilation in the public corridor is very poor. You can smell the smell of wine and vomit in the restaurant on the same floor every time you walk. The Peking opera performance is wonderful, but this Peking opera theme hotel is not reflected much except hanging a few paintings in the corridor and a theater.

It's a very good hotel. I also took my children to watch our quintessence of Chinese culture - Beijing opera. The front desk reception is warm and considerate, the hotel location is convenient, the buffet breakfast is rich in varieties, the surrounding snack bar bakery transportation is very convenient, although the hardware facilities are not as good as the current fashion hotel, but also warm and comfortable. All five. We will consider staying in the future!

It is very close to Metro Line 7 and the bus is also convenient. The surrounding environment is very quiet. It takes about half an hour to walk through small hutongs to Tiananmen. There are buses from the overpass and the temple of heaven. There are many places to eat in an hour or so. Generally speaking, it is suitable for parents and children to travel freely.

The hotel is 1.9 km from Qianmen. The hotel is 600 meters away from Metro Line 7, with convenient transportation. The plane was 4 hours late. After contacting the front desk of the hotel in advance, the front desk still kept the room until 2 a.m. when the hotel was full. During the stay in the hotel, I felt that the customer service and the front desk service were very good, especially the front desk sister Jia, like one? The tickets of Liyuan Theater on the first floor of the hotel let us feel the charm of Beijing opera by watching the wonderful performances of Beijing Opera Troupe free of charge! I'll come again next time!

The location is not very convenient. I hope it will be better after the opening of line 7. It's easy to get a car. There's also a lot of food in the nearby LACHU Hutong, which is suitable for late night. The facilities seem a little old, but it's OK to use. The service doesn't matter. It's a little bad. I ordered a standard room, and then wanted to change to a big bed room and call the front desk, The front desk said to call back after a while, but they didn't return. They finally got together. It's very clean

I came to Beijing at the time of the two sessions. The hotel reservation was too tight. I checked that several mid-range hotels were fully booked. The next day I needed to go to Beijing South Railway Station to take the high-speed railway, so I booked Qianmen Jianguo. It was upgraded to a suite. Unfortunately, the toilet is broken! Bad! Bad! Poor me. I got up at four in the middle of the night to fix the toilet. Well... What a pity!

Very good. Everything was quite complete and the service was very good. We went early. We didn't arrive at the specified check-in point. The hotel staff made humanized arrangements for check-in. When there were no reserved rooms, we upgraded the suite for free. In short, I feel very good. The location is good and it's convenient to eat. I live here when I am away from work on business. Travelogue
  • Two nights on a business trip to Beijing

I came to Beijing this time for a semi closed seminar in the industry. When booking, my colleague recommended Jianguo Qianmen Beijing Hotel, saying that it is located in the Second Ring Road, which is convenient for meeting clients and going to the venue. After landing at Beijing Station, I took a taxi for twenty minutes and arrived at No. 175 Yong'an Road in Xicheng District. The car parked under the wide porch unique to old hotels, and the concierge skillfully picked up the luggage. The calmness unique to state-owned old hotels instantly dissipated the fatigue of the journey. As an old brand that opened in 1956 and was later listed in the Beijing Excellent Modern and Contemporary Architecture Protection List, it does have a reassuring sense of weight. For business travelers, this "stable" environment is often more practical than those internet famous hotels with strong design sense.
The check-in process was very smooth, the front desk is on duty 24 hours a day, and supports electronic ID cards, which is very friendly for someone like me who often forgets to bring their documents. I am staying in a business king room on the executive floor, and as soon as I enter, I can smell a faint smell of disinfectant, which is a signal of meeting hygiene standards. The decoration style of the room is a typical old school Chinese style, with dark solid wood furniture, hanging paintings with elements of Beijing opera masks, and cloisonn é lamps. Although the hardware shows signs of time, such as slightly worn skirting boards in the corners, they are maintained quite cleanly. What satisfied me the most was the spacious writing desk, enough to spread out a fifteen inch laptop and a thick stack of contract documents. The height of the seat also conforms to ergonomics, and I didn't feel uncomfortable during the two-hour online meeting. The sound insulation of the room is good in the old building on the second ring road. After closing the window, the sound of traffic outside is almost inaudible. The central air conditioner awesome is full of Wi Fi signals, which is crucial for the party on business who needs to deal with email and video calls at any time.
Because the meeting is scheduled in the hotel's multifunctional hall, it eliminates the anxiety of traffic congestion on the Second Ring Road during rush hour in the morning and evening. The hotel's conference facilities are quite complete, with professional projection, audio, and simultaneous interpretation equipment, and timely supply of tea breaks. I didn't want to go far at noon, so I settled down in the Lanfang Hall next to the lobby. There are a variety of buffet breakfast here, ranging from the old Chinese fermented sour milk made from ground mung bean wow gold coke rings to the western fried eggs and bacon. In particular, the freshly cooked noodles are a great comfort to the northern stomach. It is worth mentioning that the first floor of the hotel is the famous Pear Garden Theater. Although the itinerary was too tight to go in and watch the show, you could hear the faint sound of the huqin inside when passing by. This is also the unique cultural label of this hotel. If you are receiving foreign guests or customers who like traditional culture, this is definitely a decent social venue.
On the morning of check-out, I deliberately had breakfast a little early to avoid a wave of conference team traffic. The car called by the concierge at the checkout was parked at the entrance on time. The driver was familiar with this area and took a shortcut to take me to Beijing South Station. Looking back on these two nights on the high-speed train back, Jianguo Qianmen Beijing Hotel gave me the feeling of an old-fashioned gentleman. Although his attire was no longer fashionable, he behaved appropriately and acted thoughtfully. It doesn't have that dazzling gimmick, but it can provide you with the most appropriate guarantee in core needs such as transportation, meetings, and rest. For business travel that pursues efficiency and stability, this certainty is the best service. Next time I come to Beijing for business, I think I will still choose this place.

  • Staying overnight by the pear orchard, enjoying the taste of Beijing

This time when I went to Beijing, I specifically didn't choose those generic business chains, but booked the Jianguo Qianmen Beijing Hotel at 175 Yong'an Road, Xicheng District. It is one of the famous "Eight Great Hotels" in Beijing, opened in 1956, and was selected for the "Beijing Excellent Modern and Contemporary Architecture Protection List" in 2007. It is also one of the few Beijing Opera culture themed hotels in the capital. It only takes ten minutes to take a taxi from the station. As soon as the car turned onto Yong'an Road, the building with a strong sense of the last century and a steady and heavy atmosphere came into view - without exaggerated glass curtain walls, but with a dignified aura of an old style state hotel.
Lobby and guest rooms - the perfect blend of time and refinement
Pushing open the revolving door, the tall lobby is paved with dazzling marble, with lush tropical plants on both sides. The vermilion pear garden theater entrance is adjacent to the lobby bar, instantly drawing people into an atmosphere of "old Beijing meets old Europe". The front desk check-in was neat and enthusiastic, and they also took the initiative to introduce the hotel's features.
I live in an executive king size bed room with warm toned Chinese decoration, solid wood furniture, cloisonn é table lamps, and hand drawn maps of Beijing at the bedside. Every detail is meticulously crafted. The room covers an area of approximately 30 square meters and is equipped with central air conditioning, a mini bar, satellite TV, a hair dryer, and bathrobes. The bedding is fluffy and white, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The bathroom is an old five-star common bathtub+shower integrated design. The ceramic tile has a slight age trace but does not affect the use. The water temperature is awesome - if you mind, you can bring your own disposable bath bag. Outside the window, you can see the gray tiled roofs of the alley, and in the morning light, you can hear the faint whistle of pigeons, which is very "southern".
Pear Garden Theater - The Most Stunning Night
What really made me feel that this stay was worth it was at the Pear Garden Theater at night. It is located on the first floor of the hotel and is the first tea house style Peking Opera theater in Beijing jointly organized by Qianmen Jianguo Hotel and Beijing Peking Opera Theatre in 1990. It has been awarded the Best Evening Event Venue of Beijing Tourism "Purple Forbidden Cup" for many consecutive years.
I deliberately entered half an hour early and leaned over to the side of the stage to watch the actors hook their faces, tie their heads, and dress up - with oil paint strokes, ordinary faces turned into tyrants or heavenly maidens in an instant, and this process was even more fascinating than the play itself. Take a seat at the Eight Immortals' Table, order a pot of tea with a covered bowl, Lvdagur (Glutinous Rice Rolls with Sweet Bean Flour) and Ai Wowo. At 19:30, the gong and drum sounded, and the three forks, Tiannv Scattered Flowers and other eclectics were staged in turn. Singing, reading, doing and fighting real kung fu, and there were Chinese and English subtitles on both sides, so there was no need to worry about not understanding. Half of the foreign tourists were seated in the audience, and the performance ended with thunderous applause - no wonder people say that when you come to Beijing, you have to "climb the Great Wall, eat roast duck, and watch Beijing Opera". This is the best check-in spot.
▎ Cuisine and Surrounding Areas - The Fireworks of Old Beijing
The next morning, we had a buffet breakfast in the Lanfang Hall of the hotel, which was a combination of Chinese and Western styles - freshly fried eggs, freshly cooked noodles, toasted toast, and an old Beijing yogurt maker were all available, with a wide variety of options to satisfy our appetite. For dinner, I tried the Qianmen roast duck from Lanfang Hall, which was sliced on site and had crispy skin and tender meat. It was paired with Huaiyang and Beijing style hot dishes, and the quality was excellent.
Location also adds points: Walk about 500 meters to Hufangqiao Station on Metro Line 7, take a 10 minute drive to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, and stroll to Dashilan, Liulichang Ancient Culture Street, and Ji Xiaolan's former residence. The surrounding area is crowded with braised dishes, fried cakes, and old brand snacks. If you want to explore the hutongs, feel free to leave anytime.
    Summary
When checking out, the concierge helped to call a car and reminded you to bring your personal belongings. The service was meticulous and warm. Jianguo Qianmen Beijing Hotel is not the kind of brand new and shiny internet celebrity hotel - it has a sense of the times, a story, and a national essence. If you, like me, want to find a place in Beijing where you can touch the cultural texture of the city, this place will not disappoint you. Next time I come to Beijing, I am willing to stay at this' Old Time Inn by Pear Garden 'again.
